Traffic Control Jobs
As a Traffic Controller you are responsible for setting up, managing and removing temporary traffic control sites. The job requires you to be on your feet all day come rain, hail or shine. Hours vary from job to job and depending on the season.
TABORDA puts safety of workers, clients and the general public as the most important aspect of all their sites and you will need to be able to work as part of a team environment in a safe manner. TABORDA requires you to come to work with a neat and tidy appearance with all required PPE, fit and ready to work.
All duties are carried out in accordance with MRWA Traffic Management for Works on Roads Code of Practice, A1742.3-2002 and the MRWA Traffic controller’s handbook.
Qualifications/Requirements as per below:
- Basic worksite traffic management ticket
- Traffic Controller ticket
- Valid driver's license
- White card
- Be able to comprehend, follow, and read Traffic Management Plans and Diagrams (English)
- Be able to perform relevant duties associated with Traffic Management for works and events
- Be physically able to lift/carry 5-10kg
- MUST be able to communicate in clear English on two-way radios
- Work in a team environment, with good Public Relations skills
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to perform/stay calm under pressure
- Making yourself available at short notice, sometimes required
- Ability to seperate from personal mobile phones whilst working
- Advanced Traffic ticket is a bonus, but not a must
